Captain America is a fictional superhero who appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics as well as being in a number of television, movie and video game adaptations. Captain AMerica first appeared in the comic Captain America #1(March 1941)which was from Marvel Comic's predecessor Timely Comics. Captain America was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Captain America was an American soldier in World War II who was given a serum that transformed him into a physically perfect human. He wears a patriotic costume, wields an indestructible circular shield, and fights for American ideals of liberty and justice.

Steven Rogers (Captain America) was born sometime in the 1920's in the Lower East Side of Manhatten, New York City. When he was a child his father died, leaving him and his mother alone, but when he was a teenager his mother had also died as well. In eary 1940, before the US went into World War II, he was a comic book writer and artist. During World War II, Rogers was disturbed by the Third Reich, and attemted to enlist in the US army, but gets rejected because of his frail body. But the rejection gives him another oppernunity and went into a thing known as "Project Rebirth" which they would but a serum in a soldier and change their pysical form, which worked on Rogers, turning him into a strong person, who would now be able to enlist in the army and most likely get in. The serum had turned everything to also give him perfect stamina, agility, and intelligence, and he soon afterwards takes on as Captain America.
